About Me
Mackie Rondon
My Story: Growing up in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, my appreciation for and desire to protect our planet was intrinsically engrained.
My Mission: My goal has always been to be a company that will equally serve the people as well as our planet. I also felt it was my duty to take a stance against the wasteful practices inherent in the fast fashion industry.
Why Shoemaking: I started offering these workshops to pass on footwear skills that I learned at the Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City and after years of working in the Footwear Industry. I holds an Accessory Design degree, as well as, a BA in Production Management both from F.I.T.

Frequently-Asked Questions
Do I need to know how to work with leather to take this leather workshop?
No, you do not. This is an introductory leather workshop and thus no previous experience with leather is needed.
Are we going to be learning hand sewing leather and how to sew uppers to outsoles by hand in this workshop?
No, we are not. This workshop will focus onindustrial leather sewing techniques, although a few hand sewing’s finishing will be cover in this workshop.
What if I don't have an industrial machine, could I still take your class or come to your factory?
Yes, and yes. My beginning leather sewing class is for learning to stitch leather with an industrial leather sewing machine, but I will cover ways in which youcould use your home machine, if possible, but you must contact us or send us your home machine model in order to let you know if your machine will be able to make the techniques that will be cover in this workshop.
What happens if I miss this class?
You will grant you access to our member only youtube channel or zoom link in order for you to take it and you could contact me with any questions and I will make sure to answer you within 24 to 48 hours.
Could I get a refund for this workshop?
We offer credit for the same class at a later date or another class of equal value.
Reimbursement policy:
Same day cancellation will receive 95% of money back
Next day cancellation will be able to register to the same class or another class of equal monetary value or pay the balance if cost of the new class is greater or store credit for the new class if cost is less than the original.
